Background

On Sunday, I went to a the equivalent a a US Farmers Market in the Cachambi section of Rio de Janeiro.  The Portuguese name for the Sunday Street Far is “Feira Da Rua Basilio De Brito.”  I was not expecting very much, but from this simple visit, I learned a lot about foreign trade in ways that we had never thought of.  Most of this post will be pictures with notes from my farmers market visit.

I hope that you have enjoyed your trip through the Brazil Farmers Market in Cachambi.

I usually do not spend time it US Street Fairs, however, but I found this one , RJ, Brazil interesting.  The main thing I found interesting were the food products from the United States.  That surprised me very much.

Brazil Farmers Market Summary:

Great prices can be had at Brazil Farmers Markets – Just Like the US

One dozen eggs for $1.00 @ August 2015 exchange rates is a fantastic price

Being able to get products from California, Chile or Mexico at a Brazil Farmers Market shows that International trade even for the smallest items can benefit everyone, the farms in California and the people of Brazil to be able to get the peaches they don’t have in country.
